Rosai-Dorfman Disease: A Case Report

Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD) is a type of sinus histiocytosis. It rare (1:200000), particularly in children and commonly presents with massive, painless usually bilateral cervical lymphadenopathy along fever weight loss. Leukocytosis, elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate hypergammaglobulinemia are common. A definitive diagnosis can only be made by histological analysis affected lymph nodes. Emperipolesis typical immunohistochemical pattern characterized positivity for S-100 protein CD68 antigen negativity CD1a diagnostic RDD. Here we report case RDD occurring 10-month-old child progressive persistent fever. Histopathological immunohistochemistry studies node biopsy established the diagnosis. watchful follow-up resulted resolution lymphadenopathy. J Bangladesh Coll Phys Surg 2022; 40: 299-301
